As the twelve days of Phoenix Suns Christmas player rankings continues, the team’s stretch big that’s been lighting up the G-League gets the eleventh spot.

On the eleventh day of the Phoenix Suns Christmas player rankings, the Valley of the Suns have Danuel House ranked twelfth and Alec Peters ranked eleventh.

Like House, Peters is also on a two-way contract. Recently, I had wrote about how the Suns need to give Alec Peters extended time up in the NBA. The sentiment from that article still rings true, once the Suns can balance their roster then the team should do a thorough evaluation of Peters against NBA talent. Until that time occurs, Peters is ranked at the eleventh spot based on his lack of NBA playing time.

Peters has only has one more game with the Suns than House does this season. In two games with Phoenix, Peters has averaged 7.0 minutes, 1.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.0 block while shooting 25.0 percent from the floor and 3-point line. However, Peters’ G-League stats shows Peters’ potential to be a stretch big.

His G-League stats are more than good enough to get him playing time in the NBA. Hopefully at some point this season, fans will get to see him in a Phoenix Suns uniform for a long stretch. Peters has potentially, a bright future with the Suns.

The team’s solid depth at both power forward and center positions have greatly limited Peters’ ability to play with the Phoenix Suns. Peters’ lack of time with the Suns is the main reason why Peters ranks eleventh in the Suns Christmas player rankings.
