Danuel House was signed to a two-way contract after the Phoenix Suns signed former two-way contract player Mike James to a regular NBA deal and Derrick Jones Jr. was waived by the team. Based on House’s lack of time with the franchise, no defined long term future with the squad and overall lack of NBA playing experience has him ranked at the bottom of the 12 days of Christmas player rankings.
The 12 days of Phoenix Suns Christmas player rankings only account for players that have played at least one game for the Suns and is still on the roster.
House has only been on the Suns’ roster since he was signed on Dec. 8th. Giving a player a high ranking only after four days on the team and one game seems ridiculous. The one game that House played for the Suns is only his second in his NBA career.

While House’s NBA stats aren’t eye opening, his G-League stats do present a much more developed scorer. It appears that House will only have until Devin Booker returns from injury to prove his worth. Once Booker is healthy, fans shouldn’t be surprised if House finishes his season with the Northern Arizona Suns. This is because House will have to fight Booker, T.J. Warren, Josh Jackson and Troy Daniels for playing time. It’s unlikely House will beat out any of those players for playing time.

With the team’s injury issues at the wing position, it appears that House is more of an insurance policy than a long term piece. House’s lack of NBA playing time hurts him in these rankings as well. House is a solid G-League player that has gotten another shot to prove his NBA worth. Hopefully, he can do just that.
