Phoenix Suns scandal: Devin Booker and Kendall Jenner rode in car together

Phoenix Suns star, Devin Booker, was seen with Kendall Jenner in his car on a road trip and the tabloid world is enthralled.

Me, heading up a Phoenix Suns blog when TMZ reported Devin Booker was seen with Kendall Jenner: “Definitely not going to write about Booker and Jenner. I’m not going to touch that.”

Me, a day later, “Nope. I’m still not going to write about Booker and Jenner. Not gonna reduce to that level.”

Me, after another day: “Seriously. This is not a tabloid blog. I’ll write about Mikal Bridges getting free Chipotle before I inject Kardashian romance rumors into Valley of the Suns.”

Me, today, after being the only site on the Internet who hasn’t yet referenced it: “Ugh. Fine.”

Devin Booker, a grown man whose personal life I have no business knowing, was seen with Kendall Jenner, a grown woman who is famous for reasons beyond my comprehension and also whose personal life I have also no business of knowing (and frankly, don’t particularly care about), were seen together on an apparent road trip from Phoenix to Sedona after he must have taken a break from playing Call of Duty.

Think about being a random patron to this roadside gas station when a $200,000 Maybach pulls up and one of the most recognizable Arizonians pops out of the car with one of the most recognizable celebrities in the world.

I wonder how much TMZ paid for that cell phone video footage, shot by the amateur first-time paparazzi videographer. That’s a profitable bathroom break.

Booker being a heartthrob isn’t new. Once, when he was at Kentucky, a female fan found his car and…wait or it…licked it. Yep, she licked his car, took a picture, and cemented the reality of the tragic world in which we live.

The move started a bit of a trend for a while, but if I had to guess, I would say Kendall Jenner opted not to lick Booker’s vehicle. Although to be fair, a Maybach is one of the more lick-able cars there is.

There’s more to the story where evidently Ben Simmons is Jenner’s on-again, off-again beau and something about Booker’s ex-girlfriend getting friendly with some other Kardashian’s baby daddy, who happens to be another NBA star, Tristian Thompson. Or something. That might not be right.

And evidently Booker went on a double date with this ex and Jenner/Simmons a couple of years ago. In the end, after the Twitter buzz around the event, Jenner pushed back with a trashy, albeit funny line how she can sleep with whomever she wants. You’ll have to look it up.

Honestly, it is all kind of head-spinning and mind-numbing, yet when the team’s star is on the front page of every tabloid magazine in the world, I guess it probably needs a nod on a lowly Suns blog.

Booker isn’t the first Phoenix Suns player to be linked to the Kardashian love circle. Kris Humphries, who was married to Kim Kardashian for 72 days, played for the Suns for an even shorter amount of time during the 2015-2016 season.

I don’t know why I know that.
