The Phoenix Suns had a rough 2019, but it wasn’t all bad. Let’s count down the team’s nine best moments of 2019.

2019 has been largely a year to forget for the Phoenix Suns, but this is not to post to recount the worst of times.

No, that was another post.

Here, let’s bust out the prism of optimism and positive thinking to remember the best parts of 2019 for the Suns. Some of these are cool game moments and others are signs (symbolic or concrete) that indicate the future is looking bright in Phoenix.

Let’s get right into it:

#9: New Orange Uniforms Unveiling

When a team gets new uniforms, it always splits the fan base into three distinct groups: those that love them, those that hate them, and those that aggressively insist they wear the same ones they did in 1968.

But deep down, after the initial shock has worn off, cool new uniforms (and logos for that matter) begin to sink into the culture and the same folks who were clamoring to bring back the Western font jerseys will be the same people 20 years from now begging to bring back these orange sunburst ones.

Regardless of your opinion on these specific jerseys, it was a highlight of 2019 because it symbolized the new movement and culture change of the Phoenix Suns. While they are still wildly missing out on a Vally Boyz jersey that would be the best thing ever and sell out worldwide in seconds, this Statement Edition orange jersey is a modern take on a basketball uniform and serves a symbolic representation that this franchise is looking into the future.
