Centers

Tyson Chandler should be thankful the team is rumored to be looking to trade him. At this point, having Chandler on the roster does no favors to either side. The Phoenix Suns are focused on a youth movement and Chandler doesn’t have any future with the young core. Chandler deserves to be on a contender at this point in the career. Chandler will probably be more thankful once the team trades him, but until then he has the prospect of being traded in the future to be thankful for.

More from Suns News

This is a contract year for Alex Len and that is exactly why he should be thankful. It’s no secret that players usually play out of their minds during contract years and Len is no exception. Len is averaging a career high in points and rebounds this season. Even though Len’s playing with some desperation this season because of his contract, he should be thankful it is elevating his game. With his elevated game, Len could be in line for a big contract with the Suns or another team summer.

Greg Monroe should be thankful the Suns are letting him to show off his skills. While with the Milwaukee Bucks this season Monroe only averaged 15.8 minutes, which is a career low for the big and since he joined the Suns, Monroe has averaged 24 minutes per game. At this point, Monroe doesn’t appear to be in the Suns long term plans, but he is showing off his skills which is helping out the Suns.

Next: The Phoenix Suns should have acquired Irving

Each one of the Phoenix Suns’ players have something personal and basketball related to be thankful for. While the players take today to reflect on both aspects they should also realized that fans are definitely thankful for all the hard work the players put in.
