The Dragan has not yet been unleashed in the desert.

Bender’s ankle issues slowed down what was a rough rookie campaign. His rating has stayed the same mainly because many don’t know what to think of him still.

Like Josh Jackson, Bender was the 4th overall pick in the 2016 draft so the expectations are for him to be a core piece for years to come. His international stint in FIBA this past summer left a lot to be desired despite signs of encouragement.

Bender is one of those cases where he deserves a fair shot to prove his worth before proper judgement. Once we see him involved in more NBA competition, the jury won’t be out but remain in, regarding his 2K rating.
