Conclusion

Offensive rebounding and activity on defense is what Holmes has going for him entering the highest level of basketball in the world. He needs to work on his jump shot and handle if he hopes to play the small forward position moving into the future.

Another point of emphasis for Holmes should be improvement on his movement without the ball. If he can work to get behind the defense and consistently be moving on offense, opponents won’t be able to box him out as quickly, letting him do what he does best.

As far as a potential fit with the Suns goes, Holmes won’t be drafted anytime in the first round by Phoenix but a second round steal would not be out of question, especially if he is available a few picks away from the Suns’ selection.

The latest rumors have been upfront (to put it modestly) about Phoenix’s will to make trades and it’s not out of question that Phoenix makes a move in the second round if Holmes is still on the board. Just check out his pre-draft workout below and ignore the team it’s associated with:
