The Phoenix Suns are set to tip off against the reigning champion Oklahoma City Thunder in an Emirates NBA Cup matchup on Friday, Nov. 28.

The Suns (12-7) are coming off an NBA Cup win against the Sacramento Kings to stay undefeated during in-season tournament play.

The Thunder (18-1) have been on a war path this season, showing the league they are poised to make a run at back-to-back titles. They’ve won their last 10 games in a row.

On the injury front, Jalen Williams for OKC sat out Wednesday’s win against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a wrist injury. He’s a game-time decision to play against the Suns. For Phoenix, Jalen Green remains sidelined with a hamstring injury that’s kept him out for all but five quarters this season. Grayson Allen (quad) and Ryan Dunn (wrist) are listed as game-time decisions to play.

Suns vs Thunder prediction

While both teams enter an undefeated 3-0 in NBA Cup play, the Suns are clearly the underdogs.

OKC is again the favorite to win a championship. They’ve lost just once all season entering Friday’s NBA Cup showdown with Phoenix and are 9-0 when playing at home.

This would be a huge upset if the Suns are able to win, given OKC’s home record, overall record and the NBA Cup implications.

Perhaps they can bank on the Thunder coming out sluggish after the Thanksgiving holiday.

Prediction: Thunder win 119-102
