3 goals for Grayson Allen for the 2024-25 NBA season

Grayson Allen's breakout season was one to remember, but the 2024-25 NBA season will prove to be much more daunting for him and the rest of the Phoenix Suns.

2. Take over for sidelined stars

We saw Allen step his game up when the All-Stars were injured last season. During those moments, the shooting guard locked in and usually took over games with his outside shooting. With the star players usually getting sidelined because of the injury bug, having someone step up in their absence is a significant contribution.

At the start of the 2023-24 season, Booker and Beal missed a couple of games. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard returned after missing the second until the fourth game but was sidelined for another five games. The former Washington Wizards star missed the first seven games before making his Suns debut.

During that time, former head coach Frank Vogel experimented with the lineups and rotation. However, Allen was a constant fixture in the starting five. He was also entrusted to play a significant amount of minutes, even at the beginning of the campaign.

No one is sure how current head coach Mike Budenholzer will utilize Allen. But given how he performed last season, he'll likely take responsibility for taking over when the star players are hurt.
