Yes we're aware that this is a website dedicated to all things Phoenix Suns, and yes we're aware we've already spoken about the recently eliminated from playoff contention Orlando Magic.
But when you have a rare chance to steal one of their young players, you've got to give it some serious thought.
Magic could hire former Suns head coach to try and fix postseason woes
There could yet be another link between these two franchises, with Orlando having just fired head coach Jamahl Mosley.
They're now surely on the lookout for a veteran coach who knows what it takes to advance through the playoffs, which is why they might yet turn to Mike Budenholzer.
But as any Suns fan will tell you, doing so would be a massive mistake even if it looks like the right move on paper.
Budenholzer's single season in The Valley was a disaster, and culminated in the Suns failing to even make the play-in tournament despite having Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.
He hasn't had a head coaching job in the league since, although if you're the Magic you can see the appeal of one of the (supposed) brightest offensive minds in the league.
Scoring the basketball is where the Magic had the most issues all season, and during their epic Game 6 collapse versus the Detroit Pistons they scored 19 points in an entire half of basketball.
Budenholzer is also a big fan of hoisting as many 3-pointers as possible, and it is true that the Suns had some success when they implemented this around Booker and Durant.
But they also had guys like Grayson Allen who fit that role perfectly, while the likes of Jalen Suggs and Anthony Black most certainly do not.
What good is turning into a run and gun offense, if you haven't got the personnel to do it? Not that the Suns have to worry about this, but it is interesting that the Magic and Suns have swapped places here.
After failing with both Budenholzer and Frank Vogel, Phoenix went and hired a first time head coach in Jordan Ott after receiving rave reviews as an assistant in Cleveland and Los Angeles.
Mosley was beloved by the players as an assistant in Dallas, and was felt by many to be somebody who Luka Doncic was a huge fan of.
Expectations carry a heavy burden as the Suns are all too aware however, and now it is the Magic who have to think carefully about what comes next.
