Is Suns offseason complete after latest two-way signing?

The Suns have 15 standard contracts and three two-way guys on the books. Is their offseason now complete?

The Phoenix Suns made another (minor) deal in what’s been a busy 2026 offseason.

After adding former Golden State Warriors point guard Pat Spencer on a two-way contract to head to The Valley, the Suns will reportedly keep another two-way talent in the organization.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Koby Brea, a former second-round draft pick by Golden State, is returning to the team with a new two-way contract.

As Charania notes, the 23-year-old played 12 games for the Suns as a rookie a season ago. In those appearances, Brea averaged just 3.8 points in seven minutes per contest, but he converted a very respectable 43.3% of his 3-point shots (13-of-30 shooting from deep).

Brea spent the bulk of his year playing for the Suns’ G League affiliate in 2025-26, which will likely be the case again this coming season. Across 34 games played in the Tip-Off Tournament and G League regular season combined, Brea averaged 16.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. He averaged a whopping 10 3-point attempts per game in those appearances and made 34.9% of those tries. Overall, he was a 39.8% shooter from the field.

Look for Brea to continue to develop his game in the G League and provide injury depth lower down on the depth chart among the Suns’ crop of guards.

Are the Suns offseason moves complete with Koby Brea signing?

With news that Brea is returning to the franchise on a two-way contract, shortly after Spencer was added also as a two-way player, the Suns’ offseason moves may be coming to a close.

Short of another big-swing trade, like the one Phoenix executed to send sharpshooters Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale along with an unprotected 2033 first-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets for Miles Bridges, the Suns don’t exactly have the financial flexibility needed to bring in more talent.

Money aside, the Suns are also now stocked up with 15 players on standard contracts and an additional three on two-way deals.

The updated Suns depth chart is loosely as follows:

Point guard: Devin Booker, Collin Gillespie, Jamaree Bouyea, Pat Spencer (two-way)

Shooting guard: Jalen Green, Luke Kennard, Jordan Goodwin, Koby Brea (two-way)

Small forward: Dillon Brooks, Ryan Dunn, Haywood Highsmith

Power forward: Miles Bridges, Koa Peat, CJ Huntley (two-way)

Center: Mark Williams, Oso Ighodaro, Khaman Maluach

As it stands, this is likely the finalized roster construction heading into the 2026-27 campaign. Barring a trade to further mix things up, Phoenix seems committed to having Devin Booker man the point guard spot unless they plan on having Jalen Green fill a super sixth man role off the bench with Gillespie starting at point guard like he did for stretches last season due to injuries.

The biggest shift is undoubtedly Bridges, the trade acquisition who now fills in as a more traditional power forward — a spot manned by both Dillon Brooks and O’Neale a season ago.

Outside of that, Kennard — the free-agent signing who was previously with the rival Los Angeles Lakers — will fill the role vacated by Allen being sent to Charlotte. Peat, the first-rounder out of the University of Arizona, may see minutes as a rookie in the power forward spot to back up Bridges.

Other than those key additions, the Suns are poised to run it back with most of the same players from last season.
