The ongoing feud between Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks and NBA all-time scoring leader LeBron James is well documented.

The man otherwise known as “The Villain” kept throwing more gasoline on that fire in a video posted by @nba2kleague on TikTok. Brooks said he’s “for sure” the “top” LeBron hater, but added that he wants his go-to rival to come back and play for another year — which will happen, just not for the Los Angeles Lakers where James spent the past eight seasons and won his fourth NBA championship in 2020.

Dillon Brooks says he’s ‘top’ LeBron hater, gives free agency prediction

After saying that James needs to “stop all this waiting” as the Akron, Ohio, native mulls yet another high stakes free agency decision, Brooks weighed in on where he thinks James will go.

“I think Golden State,” Brooks said, predicting where James will likely close out his storied NBA career.

For Brooks, who relishes playing against James and ruffling his feathers as an on-court rival, LeBron staying in the division would likely bring “The Villain” joy.

Rumors suggest James is also mulling another return to his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers, who certainly have the firepower necessary to chase what would be James’ fifth NBA title. Donovan Mitchell recently signed an extension with the Cavs and fellow guard James Harden is waiting out his own free agency to give Cleveland financial flexibility to target LeBron for a possible reunion.

We also can’t count out the Miami Heat, where James won two of his four MVPs and two of his four championship rings. Pat Riley and Co. just added former MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo in a blockbuster trade earlier this offseason, so there’s a chance playing alongside the “Greek Freak” in a familiar locale would be appealing to James.

But if Brooks has any inside knowledge, James appears poised to remain in the Pacific Division with the Suns and play alongside longtime friend and fellow Akronite Steph Curry with the Warriors.

We’ll have to wait and see what James’ choice will ultimately be, but no matter where he goes we can be sure Brooks will be ready to keep the rivalry going.
