There for the taking.

Devin Booker had himself quite the All-Star Weekend, finishing second in the 3-point contest and dapping up a Barack Obama during the main event on Sunday.

He also had great things to say about Dillon Brooks, and did his standing throughout the league no harm at all with the national spotlight on him during the festivities.

Winning playoff series would be Booker's greatest achievement

Now that we are settling in for the stretch run of the regular season, we can turn our attentions to the Suns' chances of making the playoffs.

They're sitting in a play-in spot right now, but are getting guys back at the right time and have played a brand of basketball all season that opponents have not enjoyed coming up against.

Although Phoenix has defied expectations to sit at 32-23, if Booker can win a playoff series with this roster, then it will be his greatest accomplishment since entering the league.

We can't argue that getting to the NBA Finals wasn't the better feat given the Suns came close to winning a ring, but that roster fit together perfectly and Booker had the help of Chris Paul (the anti-Kevin Durant if you will).

Contrast that with this season, and the second best player on this team is Jalen Green, who has appeared in only seven games total.

Creating chemistry with Brooks so quickly is something Booker deserves a ton of credit for, and him being the co-star throughout the season so far despite outstaying his welcome everywhere else would again point to this being a bigger achievement.

Mark Williams staying healthy has certainly helped, but you can't honestly tell us you believed a rotation made up of Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale, Collin Gillespie, Ryan Dunn, Oso Ighodaro, Jordan Goodwin and Jamaree Bouyea was good enough to make the postseason.

Yet that's what the Suns look on course to do, and skipping the play-in altogether would only add to Booker's legacy in The Valley.

The Suns weren't supposed to win 30 games, and everybody assumed the front office would be on the clock to keep Booker engaged.

Only he is the one who has looked happy and comfortable from media day, which didn't always appear to be the case when Durant was in town.

So while we all know how this season is going to end (spoiler alert, not with a championship), the manner in which they go down fighting will add another layer to Booker's legacy in Phoenix.

Making the playoffs would be huge, but actually winning a series against what would be a much more fancied opponent with this roster and a first year head coach would be Booker's greatest accomplishment.
