Bradley Beal’s time with the Phoenix Suns is not remembered fondly, with many fans believing his addition is what led to the trio of himself, Devin Booker and Kevin Durant not working out.

Durant hasn’t exactly done much to change the perception that he was an innocent party in all of this while with the Houston Rockets, but Beal’s inability to stay on the court contributed to that team’s quick demise.

Beal appears to urge Devin Booker to leave Phoenix

In the aftermath of the Suns’ playoff sweep at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Beal took to social media with a post that very much looks like it was pointed towards Booker.

Beal would then go on to say that he was unsure how fans could think he was talking about Booker and the Suns, but the timing of this one was too obvious for him to be talking about anything else.

As you would expect, plenty of fans were quick to pile onto Beal for the post, with many pointing out that the fact the organization bought him out and will be paying him for years to come as the main reason the Suns can’t move on just yet. They’re right.

Beal is also coming off a season with the L.A. Clippers in which he added precious little as a result of a hip injury. In fact that team didn’t really get rolling until after he went down with the season ending injury, and they still couldn’t make the playoffs.

Assuming this is pointed at Booker, then the attitude between the two players could not be more stark. Booker the franchise cornerstone who has never given any indication he wants to leave. He need only look at Durant’s reputation since departing Oklahoma City to see why that is not a good idea.

Beal was also the guy for a time there with the Washington Wizards, and although he had a no-trade clause he waived that to get out of town and head to Phoenix when it was clear he couldn’t win big there.

You can’t blame him for wanting to compete, and if anything this post is a warning to Booker and a shot at the front office in The Valley for their inability to take advantage of a roster with three star players on it.

But with the Suns licking their wounds after a postseason sweep and with Beal in the rear view mirror, the timing is poor. Fans once again being reminded that having Beal on the roster was a disaster from the beginning.

His inability to co-exist with Booker on the court didn’t help matters either, and although Jalen Green has his flaws the fit has always been better. The Suns have gone home, and Beal didn’t need to make the moment about him.
