3. Devin Booker (8% of the vote)
For once Devin Booker hasn’t topped a list about the Suns. Which is no problem, because he most certainly has time on his side to climb this particular mountain. We’ve already mentioned how he is seen by many as the greatest player in the history of the franchise.
If Booker can help lead the Suns to a first ever championship, you can begin to build the statue as soon as the parade has finished. Booker is everything to the Suns, and has been since they drafted him back in 2015. He’s an elite scorer, and the jersey that most fans are wearing when you go to watch the team play.
He’s had some terrible teammates, and also joined forced with Paul to help get the Suns as close as they ever have to the promised land. He’s about to spend more time than ever before handling the ball and acting as this team’s point guard, and there has never been so much as a whisper from Booker about wanting to leave town.
In the coming years you can expect him to either win, or finish highly, in the MVP voting a couple of times, and he’ll be an All-Star lock as long as he is healthy. To be the face of a franchise featuring Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal, no matter how short their respective tenures have been with the organization, is something special. Which is exactly what Booker is and will continue to be.
