We’re up to the fourth month on our win-loss predictions for the Phoenix Suns’ 2022-23 season. After a predicted record of 11-4 in the month of January, our forecasts suggest the Suns will be 37-15 heading into February.

The Suns begin the month with a home game, before going on a hard five-game East Coast trip that includes two back-to-backs and three games against playoff teams from last season.

Valley of the Suns will provide month-by-month win-loss predictions on the Phoenix Suns’ season, with a tough road trip defining the February period.

Here is the win-loss prediction for each Suns game in the month of February:

Wednesday February 1 v Atlanta Hawks – Win (1-0)

Friday February 3 @ Boston Celtics – Loss (1-1)

Saturday February 4 @ Detroit Pistons – Win (2-1)

Tuesday February 7 @ Brooklyn Nets – Loss (2-2)

Thursday February 9 @ Atlanta Hawks – Loss (3-2)

Friday February 10 @ Indiana Pacers – Win (3-3)

Tuesday February 14 v Sacramento Kings – Win (4-3)

Thursday February 16 v Los Angeles Clippers – Win (5-3)

Friday February 24 v Oklahoma City Thunder – Win (6-3)

Sunday February 26 @ Milwaukee Bucks – Loss (6-4)

Notable Takeaways

  • Phoenix have two back-to-backs in the space of a week between February 3 and 10. It will be fascinating to see how they manage players in this period, particularly given All-Star weekend takes place later in the month.
  • The Suns two-game season series against the Atlanta Hawks will take place in the space of eight days. Projections have each team winning their respective home game as they did last season.
  • The Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers’ matchups appear like comfortable wins, however they’re both on the back end of back-to-backs which could potentially pose a danger.
  • Phoenix meet the Bucks for the first time on February 26, with an expected loss here after a high-scoring 132-122 defeat in the corresponding game last season.

A 6-4 record looks like a fair expectation, with the matchup with Brooklyn posing as an unpredictable one given it will be around the trade deadline. This takes the Suns overall predicted record to 43-19 after 62 games.
