Notable Takeaways

  • The Suns toughest four-game period of the season comes with a road trip against the Warriors, Nuggets, Timberwolves and Grizzlies. This includes a back-to-back against the first two opponents. Phoenix are expected to go 1-3 in this stretch.
  • Following that last away game in Memphis, Phoenix will return home to play six of their last seven games at Footprint Center to close out the month. They’re predicted to win each of these matchups, with the one away game in San Antonio presenting as a comfortable win.
  • The Suns and Grizzlies is set to be an exciting season series that finishes in late January. It’s predicted that the teams will split at 2-2, with both sides winning their pair of home games.
  • The Suns play eight of the 15 games against Eastern Conference opponents, after playing just four in the previous month. They’re predicted to go 7-1 in these games.
  • Phoenix are predicted to lose their one game in Cleveland at the beginning of the month. The Suns are on a five-game win streak against the Cavaliers, although four of them have been by single digits while the fifth went to overtime.

Phoenix are expected to continue their successful season in the month of January, predicted to finish with an 11-4 record. That would take their overall season record to 37-15 through 52 games.
