The Phoenix Suns lost to the Portland Trail Blazers in a game that was a bit of a revenge game for the home team after being trounced just four days prior.

Before the Phoenix Suns played the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday, I hinted it was time for Aron Baynes to return to early season form. In case you missed it, he did.

This time around against the Portland Trail Blazers, I suggested Dario Saric would play like Super Dario on Super Mario Day, and as if he took my advice, he did.

I might be losing all my savings in the stock market right now, but at least I predicted the good performances from two random players in a couple of late-season games for a team out of serious playoff contention (one solely based on a made-up holiday).

So there’s that.

In case you missed that random holiday Hallmark has yet to capitalize upon, March 10 has been dubbed Super Mario Day because when you spell out MAR10…well, you see it.

The Phoenix Suns ended up falling to the Portland Trail Blazers on this Nintendo-themed day (Tuesday, for most people), in a game where it looked like the home team was out for revenge.

Rightfully so.

Just four days prior, the Suns trounced them in Phoenix behind Baynes’ historic night, and they were prepared not to let that happen again in the same week.

Fueled by a 39 point fourth quarter, the Blazers pulled away from the otherwise-playing-decent Phoenix Suns and won 121-105.
