#5: New Arena Unveiling

Talking Stick Resort Arena will undergo a $230 million renovation as soon as the 2019-2020 season ends. The idea is that it will be ready to go for the team’s next season, although everyone who has ever commissioned a construction project ever has their doubts.

The Suns initially gave us a sneak peek of what we can expect, and the lobby looks awesome.

After that, Robert Sarver gave a huge presentation with tons of renderings, most of which were bars, but others were of the court itself and awesome video boards.

This renovation will immediately put Talking Stick Arena as one of the premiere destinations in the NBA, and give Suns fans (and Mercury fans, not to mention concert goers) a spectacular venue to call home.

Globally, it shows that, despise the many, many, many reasons Suns fans have to be frustrated with the Robert Sarver era, he has invested into the team’s future. Ideally, a state-of-the-art arena will draw the attention of big time free agents (ahem, KAT), and inject some enthusiasm into a fan base that didn’t even make the FanSided 250 ranking of sports fandom.

The bottom line is that the new renovations look amazing, and will bring a much needed face-lift to an aging arena, and hopefully usher in a new era for the Phoenix Suns.
