Reasons 50-60

50. “I don’t want to be here”

51. This was a tweet from Eric Bledsoe in 2017, the Suns starting point guard, expressing his frustration with the organization, pretty much the epitome of how most Suns players have felt with the organization the past nine years. He would soon be shipped to the Milwaukee Bucks.

52. “Josh Jackson arrested in Florida after repeatedly attempting to enter a VIP zone at a music festival”… one month later. “Josh Jackson accused of being high, exposing 5-month old daughter to marijuana.

53. Those two players just mentioned, could have turned into Kyrie Irving. Yes, that is correct. The Cleveland Cavaliers star wanted out, the Cavs approached the Suns asking for Eric Bledsoe, Dragan Bender, the 4th overall pick (Josh Jackson) for Kyrie Irving – and the Suns politely declined that offer. Now, none of them play for Phoenix and the franchise has nothing to show for it.

54. Remember the guy I just told you about who got arrested and got his 5-month-old daughter high? Yeah, they drafted him the pick before De’Aaron Fox, and nine picks before Donavan Mitchell.

55. But the next year the coin-flip gods finally gave us our big man, Deyandre Ayton.

56. Zion Williamson, they said. Ja Morant they said. How about the 6th pick instead?

57. And well, that 2019 draft they landed Klay Thomopson! Oh wait it’s Cam Johnson.

58. To recap. In the past eight years alone, Phoenix could have drafted a team of: De’Aaron Fox, Devin Booker, Kawhi Leonard, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Deyandre Ayton, Draymond Green, Jamal Murray, Pascal Siakam, Clint Capella or Rudy Gobert, and I did not mention this they  traded the rights for Gordon Hayward and Jrue Holiday away? Now I get that drafting one or two of these players would probably negate the Suns getting the others, however, re-read those names in that list and imagine them drafting one or two of those picks correctly. I would not be writing this! Also, think about that the past 10 or so numbers on this list are draft picks from only the past eight years. Imagine looking all the way back to when they lost that most famous coin-flip.

59. 33 days. That is how long it took the suns to win a basketball game in the 2017-18 season. Granted, only 15 games were played during that time, but regardless – that was during the Suns’ longest franchise losing streak.

60. Coach 1,2,3,4,5. In a stretch from 2015 to 2019 the Suns have had six different NBA coaches. I don’t know about you, but to me that does not sound like a recipe for success. Jeff Hornacek, Earl Watson, Jay Triano, Igor Kokoskov, and finally Monty Williams. This is unheard of and something only the Suns would do. To be that bad and irrelevant to cycle through six coaches in five years is utterly and truly amazing in itself.
