Central Division Prediction

The Phoenix Suns finished 3-7 against the Central Division last season, however, unfortunately I do not see that record getting much better.

While the Suns will sweep the Cavaliers for the first time in a while, they will be swept by the Bucks, a team they conquered twice last year themselves, offsetting that swing.

Ultimately, I only see four wins against the Central Division in 2019-20, giving Phoenix an improved, although only slightly so, 4-6 record.

If the Suns are able to steal a game from the Bucks again this coming season, they will sit at 5-5 and if they pull off a subsequent victory over the Detroit Pistons, they become 6-4 – which would be awesome.

And I really do believe that Phoenix is that  close to making that happen, so if the schedule and health each break in the Suns’ favor, maybe they can have a marked improvement over the Central Division over last season.

That said: between the two divisions that I have made a prediction for thus far (the Atlantic and Central), Phoenix holds identical 4-6 records, meaning that at least against those ten teams, the Suns will have an 8-12 record.

Considering that the franchise was a combined 5-15 against them in 2018-19, a three game improvement is a step in the right direction. A baby step, maybe, but for fans of the Phoenix Suns, any positivity will do.
