Troy Daniels
The number one thing the Suns lacked last season was outside shooting, but for Daniels that was his bread and butter.
While he started out hot in his first year with Phoenix, putting up almost nine points a game, Daniels’ numbers dipped in his second season with the team.

In 51 games with the Suns (1 start), Daniels shot 41.1% from the field and 38.1% from deep. These are solid numbers for a player that shoots almost exclusively from beyond the arc.
But at those clips, was Daniels really worth his $3.2 million contract from last season?
This season Daniels averaged only 6.2 points per game and played only 14.9 minutes a contest.
And besides his shooting, Daniels doesn’t really bring a lot more to a team.
In five seasons in the NBA, the guard has averaged only 0.6 assists and 1.3 rebounds per game.
While Daniels may be a proven shooter, he isn’t the playmaker that lots of teams look for in a two guard. At six-foot-four he struggles to attack inside, with the majority of his game coming from the catch-and-shoot.
For Phoenix, it may be time to move on from Daniels if he can’t add more to the team.
Come free agency, the team could look to re-sign the guard to a one-year deal. That would give Daniels a full 82 games to prove himself before the franchise cuts its ties.
