Did you miss this week’s Valley of the Suns Live! Special Draft Week edition? Don’t worry, you can still catch it right here, and we discussed every Phoenix Suns draft topic we could think of!
Just a reminder: Valley of the Suns Live! will stream on Twitter, Periscope, YouTube, and Facebook this Thursday for the NBA Draft! The stream will begin moments before the draft begins and will carry through the end of the lottery, or the Suns’ 16th overall pick, whichever is last. We will then re-stream live for every subsequent Phoenix Suns pick the rest of the draft, presuming they have any.
In this week’s Valley of the Suns Live! we obviously focused very heavily on the impending draft. Fans are extremely excited about what the draft will bring, and many are hoping that Phoenix is somehow able to acquire a second top pick, regardless if it is as high as two, or even just in the middle of the lottery.
Kawhi Leonard was discussed a lot as well as he is the newest big-time star who appears to want out of his current team. Recent trade speculation has the Suns possibly offering the first overall pick for Leonard, an idea that fans seem to nearly unanimously shoot down.
However, many fans do not appear to be against assisting either the San Antonio Spurs or Los Angeles Lakers infascilitating such a trade, if Phoenix are able to acquire a player like point guard Lonzo Ball in return themselves.
Ball is certainly a very controversial character because of his father, and not only is the whole of the Valley of the Suns split on the topic of acquiring him, but it appears that most fans lean towards no. That being said, plenty of fans believe that the pain his father might cause is worth it as he is a star who is only be entering the second season of his career, and he would be solidifying the point guard position for many years to come.
