The Suns courted him last offseason, but they may yet be able to acquire him.

The Clippers appear to be on the verge of a complete rebuild. Currently out of the playoffs with no real hope of using this current core to make a championship run, and plenty of discussions of trading DeAndre Jordan, Blake Griffin might not only be available at some point this season, but he could be available now.

Asking to trade for him at this point would cost a lot, but as the Clippers slide and a total rebuild becomes both obvious and imminent, the now massive contract of Griffin might be even more easily acquirable.

Having already courted Griffin this offseason for nothing more than a free agent offer, it would definitely be a tough pill to swallow to then turn around and trade something for him and his bulbous contract.

That being said, if the Clippers totally embrace the rebuild, you tell me if you can find a better trade for Griffin than Marquese Chriss and one of the Suns’ 2018 first round picks.
