Check out 2017’s Fandom250 list of the top 250 sports and entertainment individuals, teams, shows, movies, schools, etc. that we as fans absorb and go crazy over.

Unfortunately the list does not include a single member of the Phoenix Suns, nor the franchise itself. This is unfortunate given the meteoric rise Devin Booker has taken this year, especially following his memorable 70 point game at Boston in March, although not entirely unexpected. It’s not that die-hard Suns fans have turned from the Suns, it’s that the sports and entertainment lovers of America are not on our bandwagon – yet.

More from Suns News

What’s almost worse is that there is only one single Arizona figure on the list, Diana Turasi of the Phoenix Mercury, who settled at her place at 145th.

Turasi is still the face of the Mercury, a current WNBA superstar, and sure-fire first ballot Hall of Famer when she steps away from the game for good. The 13-year veteran of both the Mercury and the WNBA (not including the 2015 season that she took off to rehab due to injury), Turasi passed Lisa Lesli earlier this year as the league’s all-time leading scorer, and currently sits at 7,867 with a per game career average of 19.8 points per game.

Next: The Phoenix Suns should trade for DeAndre Jordan

If the Suns manage to land another top pick this coming summer (or make a big-time trade), and the team begins to win at a considerable clip again, then there seems no doubt that a Phoenix Sun (and/or the franchise itself) will make this venerable list. It is up to Robert Sarver and Ryan McDonough at this point to put together an exciting and winning team, and for the fans of both the Phoenix Suns and FanSided to push our beloved franchise onto this list, and get them to the top.
