Mike James, the Eastern Arizona good story, submitted review for playing time in Week 1 amidst the Watson chaos and beat downs, shooting 42.9% FG and 33.3% on triples and scoring 11.7 points with 2.7 dimes and .7 thefts in only 19 minutes per contest. After Eric Bledsoe’s tweet, he was entered into the starting lineup where he has swished 34.8% of his treys and 81.8% at the line. He is putting up a line of 11.1 points 5 assists 1.1 steals in 25.6 minutes under Triano. The cold streak going through the team has hit him as well but he is becoming a better passer while he recovers. At 27, he is not the long term solution at PG but he is absolutely doing well holding it down until that player is brought in.

Josh Jackson, the #4 overall pick, has showed promise. He made 45% of his 3 pointers in Week 1 but only 31.6% of his 2 pointers and 47.1% of his free throws while only grabbing 1 rebound per game in 28 minutes as a starter. Weeks 2 and 3 he has been brought off the bench but has fared much better with shooting splits of 42.2% FG, 31.6% 3P and 64.3% FT for 9.9 points as well as 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals in only 22.1 minutes. This is more in line with what the team is looking for from him and he will improve by leaps and bounds.

Next: Eric Bledsoe to Milwaukee isn’t that bad of a trade for Phoenix

The future is bright. Stay tuned next week for Week 4 updates. Go Suns!
