They both have the same opportunity to potentially replace Brandon Knight offensively, although only if they can A) make the roster, and B) play well enough to demand regular minutes. If Jok can do this, than he too could possibly see a relatively high scoring average for a rookie as comparative to other rookies coming into a similar situation.
But while Jok can absolutely score like the best of them (at least in college), it is his shooting in particular that is most prominent – specifically his free throws. At Iowa he averaged 91.1% from the line his senior year, missing just 15 attempts all season. And let’s be honest, unless there are other debilitating injuries to the roster or Jok breaks out in a way that absolutely no one could predict (otherwise the Pelicans would have retained him after Summer League), then he’s not going to get many opportunities. Thus, he could set a rookie season career-high with a free throw percentage of 100%.
