The Nets are saying all the right things about building a team culture, playing for the long-term, and they seem to be walking the walk. However, this is the big apple and the chance to put together a team worth watching while the Knicks are terrible is a temptation too great to pass up.  For the Nets to turn their dumpster fire of a roster into Kyrie will be one of the great success stories in management history.

For the Suns, the chance to get D’Angelo Russell is the win. Yes, Russell has struggled, but what a better story line than taking a Lakers discard, turning him into an All-Star, and watching him punish them year after year? That’s the stuff that warms my heart and would give a struggling young kid with star potential the motivation to thrive. Russell has serious skills and his pairing with Booker would be a lot of fun to watch.
