Trade 1: Denver

Denver is not on the list of desired destinations for Irving. That wouldn’t really matter to Denver though if they think he can make them a winning team and thus convince him to stay beyond two years.

The Suns talked to Denver about a Bledsoe deal during the draft, but apparently decided that a package of Mudiay and a mid-first round pick wasn’t enough. Adding in Cleveland could help sweeten the pot enough for the Suns to take a deal:

Denver Receives: Kyrie Irving

Cleveland Receives: Eric Bledsoe, Jared Dudley, and Trey Lyles

Phoenix Receives: Iman Shumpert, Darrell Arthur, James Nelson, Emmanuel Mudiay, Denver 2019 pick (top-10 protected), and Cleveland 2020 pick (top-10 protected)
