"Most Promising Player: Josh Jackson – Even though his flaws were outlined in the Summer League, he has the most potential for Phoenix. If his jump shot improves, he looks to be an impressive two-way force."

– Branden Wyss

"Most Promising Player: Josh Jackson – Suns fans saw a glimpse of what they could see throughout the upcoming season from the afro-man. Jackson was doing plenty and then some on the court. He moved  well off ball, facilitated, got to the rim, rebounded, and stayed focused on defense. His shot was not falling as much, however, especially from three. Jackson shot 3-16 from three-point range in the Summer League total. While this is a concern, there is plenty of time for him to get it going. After all he is only 20 years old. If Jackson improves his shooting, Phoenix will be happy with the results."

– Assane Drame

"Most Promising: Dragan Bender – Bender’s last two games showed Suns fans things to come as he displayed an aggressiveness that was not seen at all last season. Bender’s unselfish play and high basketball IQ are still waiting for his physical skills to catch up and he still has bouts of inconsistent play, but considering that he only played a total of 574 minutes last season and is still the youngest player on the team, Dragan still has a promising future with the Suns."

– Cesar Vairo

"Most Promising Player: Dragan Bender – The kid has skills, he just needs to develop them. He bullets his outside shots to the hoop which causes a lot of back of the rim bricks, and then to counter, pulls the string to compensate, which causes some ugly air balls. There was no doubt though that his overall offensive game is beginning to round into form. During a Summer League interview Suns Head Coach Earl Watson projected his peak to Lamar Odom – that would be very exciting. The question now is, if that is his peak, how quickly can he get there?"

– Adam Maynes

"Most Promising Player: Dragan Bender – Bender showed every Suns fan exactly why he was a high lottery pick in last year’s draft. Over 7′ tall, Dragan was able to get his shot off over any defender. With the ball in his hands, he looked much more confident: willing to facilitate, drive or pull-up depending on the defense. Dragan Bender gives the Suns their very own modern NBA big man."
