What if the Suns were to draft for need
By Adam Maynes
NBA Teams should, and generally do, draft the best player available, not the best player to fill a need. When teams reach to fill a hole they can very easily skip over a much more profound talent, and end with a bust.

And while the Suns brass has said time and time again that unless they have two players who they rate as a tie with one another, then they will now and always draft the best player available and not look to fill a position of need. Suns fans are imminently happy to hear that and all hope that the Suns do not reach at four and do take the best player available. Many fans are hoping that that player becomes an automatic starter, a future all-star, and a long-time player for the franchise.
But for the sake of argument, let’s say that the Suns were to look to fill a need and not necessarily draft the best player available. which position is in most need of a draft day upgrade?
