Magic Johnson must consider himself the luckiest man in basketball after last night. The Lakers avoid losing two first round picks and they get the player of their dreams. This is the most obvious pick in the draft. The Lakers need talent, Ball will be the best player on the board in their minds and he only wants to play for L.A. Fortunately for Suns fans I don’t think Ball will be able to play enough defense in the NBA to ever reach this hype. I think he’s probably the third best point guard in this draft, but give his dad credit, the hype has worked. Now, the Lakers will have to hope it doesn’t burn them in the end.
