In Mock Draft 2.0 I said that I thought the Suns should pick Jackson over Ball if given the chance. Picking fourth may just force the Suns to do what they should have done anyway. Place Jackson in a core of Bender, Chriss, and Booker and the Suns are going to be a great team headed into 2020. Jackson not only brings elite two-way skills, but he brings elite competitiveness. Something the Suns will need a lot more of without P.J. Tucker on the team. Chriss and Jackson will also give the Suns a physical nature they haven’t had since the mid-90s. Jackson doesn’t immediately put them in the playoffs, which means they may still have a shot at drafting someone like DeAndre Ayton in 2018 – something Suns fans should salivate over.
