Memorable Games

Devin Booker already provided Suns fans with the best show they’ve seen in several years last season in the form of his 70 point game against the Celtics. Some people tried to discredit Booker and the Suns, but the fact of the matter is he is the youngest player to ever score 70 points in an NBA game. He was also only 31 points away from setting the all-time record in a game. However, Booker is far from being done with memorable moments for this team.

More from Valley of the Suns

Steve Nash, for example, had an amazing three game stretch in the 2005 Western Conference Finals against the Mavericks. He had countless amazing plays that wowed the NBA world, and he had multiple signature moments as a Sun that will live on in Arizona sports infamy. Devin Booker needs to have several moments of his own of that caliber.

Big players make big play, and Devin needs to be a big play guy for the Suns if he wants to be considered a superstar for this team. He has shown flashes of that capability already, just two seasons into his career. But it needs to be continuous, and relatively consistent, over many years. If Book becomes the superstar that most people think he will, and he brings playoff basketball back to the Valley, he will be well on his way to a Suns Ring of Honor spot at least. If he remains with the team his entire career, however, and perhaps even brings the Suns their first title, then he has a legitimate case for being the greatest Phoenix Sun to ever play.
