Frank Kaminsky

Not surprisingly, Frank The Tank was one of the biggest attractions of the day with his station featuring an uncomfortable amount of sweaty overbearing reporters (a demographic I was proud to be apart of). In my not so humble opinion, Frank Kaminsky is the Suns’ guy. He could quickly develop into a rich man’s version of Channing Frye, a player whose skill-set the Suns so desperately missed last season.

On spending four years at Wisconsin

"“I had to grow up. My first couple of years I had some problems mentally, not sticking with it and physically I just had to get stronger and change my body and how I fit into the system to try to make myself become the best player. “I was able to grow up as a person and as a player. I wouldn’t trade my journey to where I am now for anything.”"

All-time great exchange

"Reporter: “Frank, K-Mart suit?” Kaminsky: “Target…no, J.C. Penny.”"

On fit with Phoenix

"“Phoenix would be a cool place to play, you know I met with their staff. I really enjoyed my time down there.”"

On the biggest misconception about his game (my favorite answer of the day)

"“That my potential is tapped out already. I seem to hear that a bunch of times. People talk about ‘I don’t know how high his ceiling is.’ You know it’s cool, you guys can write all what you want, I don’t really care because I’m the person who has control over all of that. I can continue to make myself better and make this as good of a career as possible.”"

I loved the little bit of F-U mode from Kaminsky at the end. Just shows you the type of competitor the guy is. And that’s really what stands out most about him after outplaying Karl-Anthony Towns and Jahlil Okafor in the Final Four, he’s someone who just rises to the challenge again and again.
