Overview

As the 2015 NBA Draft approaches, we’ll be taking a look at the top prospects in this year’s class to gain a sense of what the Phoenix Suns should do with their pick. Today, we’ll be taking a look at Emmanuel Mudiay.

More from Suns News

The 6’5’’ blue chipper spent his would-be freshman year playing in China, after concerns about potential academic ineligibility led him to renege on his commitment to Larry Brown’s SMU Mustangs.

While there are rumors that Mudiay will fall out of the top five, it’s highly unlikely the talented point guard gets past the Sacramento Kings at No. 6 and it’s essentially impossible he reaches the Suns at No. 13.

So why write this article? Because that’s what the offseason is for; speculative pieces that’ll inevitably look stupid in retrospect, but are a whole lot of fun in real time. Fortunately, thanks to my beloved New York Knicks, the premise of this article could become a lot more concrete around draft night.

According to multiple sources the Suns could be building a package for the fourth pick centered around Eric Bledsoe.

So this leaves us with two questions to answer: 1) Should Phoenix move up? and 2) Is Emmanuel Mudiay the pick if they do?
