Myles Turner

Myles Turner was one of the few players at media day that didn’t shrug off questions about what team would be the best for him. In fact, I asked him directly about the chance of going to the Suns, and what he could provide, to which he gave the following answer.

On who he wants to face off against in the NBA:

"“I think KD, just because he’s a Texas guy. We’ve matched up against each other before, and you know he’s a really good player. And once you’re on the court, it’s all business. Maybe afterward we could get something to eat or something like that, but once you’re on the floor, it’s all business from there. He knows that more than anybody.”"

On his first memory of the NBA Draft:

"“My earliest memory is probably LeBron James in that white suit. That was pretty hilarious. Just looking back on it, it was funny because we don’t necessarily style the same way, but watching him come straight out of high school and make the transition was pretty cool.”"

On if he’s ready to be done with the draft process:

"“Yes and no. This is a fun time. It’s a fun time for my family. It’s a great time for everybody that’s around me. I want to indulge and live in the moment, but at the end of the day, I want to do what I love as well.”"

Turner is really interesting for the Suns because if he pans out, he could become a really solid stretch-four in the NBA, with the ability to protect the rim better than many fives.

At the moment, however, most analysts have Turner off the board before the Suns pick. Both ESPN’s Chad Ford and DraftExpress have Turner going to Utah at No. 12, whereas CBSSports.com’s Sam Vecenie has him going 10th overall to the Miami Heat.
