As the 2015 NBA Draft approaches, we’ll be taking a look at the top prospects in this year’s class to gain a sense of what the Phoenix Suns should do with their pick. Today, we’ll be taking a look at J.P. Tokoto.

More from Suns News

The pressure is on for the Suns to nail their first round pick at No. 13, and there are plenty of options. Some have even speculated general manager Ryan McDonough may trade up to try and land a franchise player, or that he may trade down to stockpile more future assets. But whatever the case, the Suns will also have plenty of options with their second round pick at No. 44.

Bearing that in mind, is there a chance North Carolina junior J.P. Tokoto could be a second round option for the Suns? He didn’t blow anyone away during his time with the Tar Heels, but this 6’6″ small forward has the potential to be an excellent defender at the next level thanks to his smart footwork and 6’10” wingspan.

Currently ranked No. 46 on ESPN’s Chad Ford’s Big Board and No. 43 on DraftExpress, there’s a decent chance Tokoto will be available by the time the Suns are on the clock for the second time. Here’s a look at whether or not McDonough should have him on his radar.
