A 20-year-old sophomore from the University of Arizona, Hollis-Jefferson is the kind of defender any NBA team would want on their roster. At 6’7″, 211 pounds, he has the size and speed to play the small forward position at the next level and depending on where he falls in the draft (most likely just outside the lottery or in the early 20s), someone might be getting a steal in RHJ.
After averaging 11.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game while shooting 50.2 percent from the floor during the Wildcats’ run to the Elite Eight, Hollis-Jefferson has gotten the opportunity to show off his defensive prowess, his ability to create off the dribble and his exuberant personality, which Suns general manager Ryan McDonough described as “one of the more loquacious guys we’ve had in the past couple of years.”
But even with a allure of Rondae Hollis-Jefferson being a local product, is there any room on the Suns’ roster for a guy who can’t knock down perimeter jump shots?
Here’s a look at Hollis-Jefferson’s draft profile and where he might end up on Jun. 26.
