Overview

As the 2015 NBA Draft approaches, we’ll be taking a look at the top prospects in this year’s class to gain a sense of what the Phoenix Suns should do with their pick. Today, we’ll be taking a look at Jerian Grant.

More from Suns News

Fans are probably worn out by the idea of drafting a point guard to back up Eric Bledsoe (and serve as insurance for Brandon Knight), but at No. 13, this 6’4″ combo guard could be on the Suns’ draft board. Phoenix is crazy about having versatility in the backcourt, and Jerian Grant’s ability to play both the 1 and the 2 could make him a realistic option when the Suns are on the clock.

Even better, Grant represents one of the more experienced options available in this year’s draft. A four-year guard out of Notre Dame, Grant is coming off a tremendous season in which his leadership was a major asset to the Fighting Irish.

Grant is projected to be a late lottery pick or a mid-first round selection, so there’s a good chance the Suns will be choosing between him and a myriad of other draft prospects. If the Suns are drafting by best available player, where does Grant fit in that conversation?
