Conclusion

All in all, Portis would be a tremendous pick for the Suns, and with his current projection of anywhere between late lottery and early 20’s, it would not be shocking at all to see him on the board when the Suns are on the clock.

If Kaminsky is on the board the Suns take him, no doubt about it. However, if he is already gone, then Portis would be the way to go. He would form a bruising frontcourt punch with Alex Len and (MOST Importantly) Markieff Morris would be made expendable via trade with the addition of a very big and capable, POWER forward.

Until this hypothetical time can come though, go ahead and watch this and think of how good Portis would look in purple and orange. A young Zach Randolph perhaps?
