Phoenix Suns: 10 Takeaways From The 2014-15 Season (Part 2)
The Phoenix Suns’ 2014-15 season mercifully came to its conclusion Tuesday night. Closing out the season with a home loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix played with only eight healthy players and finished the season with a 39-43 record.

Though that mark would’ve been good enough for the eighth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, it placed the Suns at 10th in the brutal West, just a year after Goran Dragic led a group of young role players to 48 wins and nearly a postseason berth too.
Externally, expectations were raised for the upstart Suns, but nobody outside of Phoenix was picking them to make the playoffs. Even though the rest of the world wasn’t letdown by the Suns missing the postseason for the fifth straight season, everyone who followed the team couldn’t help but notice how 2014-15 felt like a major step backward.
In truth, that’s probably just an overreaction to how Phoenix closed the season on a brutal 1-10 skid with so many players out with injuries.
