In the Phoenix Suns’ last defeat against the Golden State Warriors, Brandon Knight was probably the only good thing going right for the Suns through the first two quarters. He had 13 of Phoenix’s first 33 points and was helping keep his new team in the game.

But then he made a move to the basket, made contact with Draymond Green in midair and landed awkwardly on his left ankle. He had to be helped to the locker room, he missed Phoenix’s next game against the Minnesota Timberwolves and he’s doubtful to play in the Suns’ next two home games against the Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks this weekend.

After the Warriors game, head coach Jeff Hornacek said the X-rays were negative, so there’s no cause for major concern. Knight, who was acquired at the NBA trade deadline, has only played in 10 games for the Suns so far.

It’s been hard to get a handle on how he and Eric Bledsoe will get along together in the backcourt, and with such a small sample size it’s no surprise we’ve seen mixed results. But with Knight out for the short-term, here’s a look at what to expect from the rest of the rotation in the backcourt and on the wing.
