Gerald Green heat checks are one of the best things the NBA has to offer. His ability to ignite US Airways Center with ill-advised fadeaway threes that somehow go in, not to mention the skyrockets-in-flight kind of dunks that delight fans no matter what time of day it is, should not be underestimated.

He gives the Phoenix Suns attitude and athleticism, and his unpredictability is part of what makes them so much fun. If he played for the Toronto Raptors instead of the Suns, I guarantee Drake’s “0 To 100” would’ve been written about him.

He’s had his heat checks and his memorable dunks this season, sure, but it’s starting to look more and more like his long-term future lies elsewhere.

As a Gerald, it pains me to condemn a fellow Gerald to the unknown fate of the trade block. But at this point in time, it feels like a separation would be best for both the Phoenix Suns and their streaky shooting guard. Here are the five reasons why the Suns should move Gerald Green before the Feb. 19 trade deadline.
