The Phoenix Suns are looking to speed up the rebuilding process on the way towards contention. What can we project for the starting lineup to look like next season?

A lot can happen between now, the draft, and the beginning of the free agency period.

Suns GM Ryan McDonough has been adamant on speeding up the rebuilding process by making key moves this summer. Even resident star Devin Booker has made it clear that this is the last year he’ll miss the playoffs.

Whether the goal of clinching a playoff spot as soon as next season is attainable or not can be up for debate. What can’t be up for debate is that the Suns have nowhere to go but up, as they were statistically the worst offense and defense in the league this past season.

If the Suns want to develop into serious playoff contenders in the tough Western Conference, players on the team need to improve and moves should be in consideration.

As someone who would is looking to take a wild guess, here is my way too early Suns projected starting lineup for next season.

Guard: Devin Booker

This one is a no brainer.

Devin Booker is a starter in the backcourt until further notice. After making great strides to improve his overall play this season, he should be looking to take that next step.

His earlier campaigns were promising even if flawed and slightly overrated. However, it is important to know that he’s only 21-years-old and has yet to hit his true potential.

For a young player who is eager to take charge and lead, that says something. And fans should look forward to what Devin Booker can become.
