Since the departure of Steve Nash in 2012, the Phoenix Suns have lacked a bonafide face of the franchise. The moment Goran Dragic got close to earning that distinction, he was accidentally phased out of the backcourt and eventually traded away after voicing his distrust of the organization.

Between the Morris twins’ drama-filled season, Eric Bledsoe‘s quiet demeanor and the rest of the team still being too young, the Suns have lacked a player for fans to truly identify with. Free agent acquisition Mirza Teletovic may never be the face of the franchise, but he has a good chance of being a fan favorite based on everything we’ve learned about him over the last few weeks.

The Suns have as likable a group of players as they’ve had in recent years. Bledsoe is coming off an impressive summer speaking to his potential as a leader, Brandon Knight is a well-spoken, intelligent player with a bright future, Alex Len is only going to get better and Tyson Chandler represents the veteran voice in the locker room that Phoenix has lacked for years now.

But as one of the more overlooked moves of the summer, Teletovic has a chance of helping the Suns reconnect with their fans in his very first season with the team. Here’s a look at four reasons why Teletovic could quickly become a fan favorite in 2015-16.
