When Phoenix Suns guard Dillon Brooks is out on the court or lining up for free throws, it’s impossible to miss the tattoos on each of his shoulders.
On his right shooting arm he’s got a “W” and on his left shoulder is emblazoned a “P.”
So, what exactly does that “WP” mean?
'The Villain': Dillon Brooks' nickname reminds fans of other famous Suns monikers
Is Brooks a fan of the Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post newspaper? Does he have an affinity for WordPress for his web hosting needs? “Well Played,” perhaps?
Well, according to @inkednba on Instagram, it’s none of the above.
Citing Brooks’ “good friend” Dylan Ennis — a Jamaican professional basketball player for UCAM Murcia of the Spanish Liga ACB — the “WP” on Brooks’ arms stands for “Wolf Pack.”
Evidently that’s what Brooks’ longtime friend group calls each other.
It's perhaps safe to say Brooks and his buddies would get along well with Alan from "The Hangover."
Where is Dillon Brooks from?
Brooks was born in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
In high school he attended Father Henry Carr Catholic school in Toronto before making the move to the United States by transferring to Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada.
He went to college at the University of Oregon.
Brooks has represented Canada in the FIBA World Cup, winning a bronze medal in the competition in 2023 (Germany won gold for its first title with Serbia as the runner-up).
