The Phoenix Suns had a bounce-back season in 2025-26. We have already looked back at who the top 10 performers for the franchise were as they made the playoffs. Dillon Brooks came out on top in a brilliant first season with the team. Now it's time to move forward with excitement and to see who has the most to prove in The Valley this time around.

Those installments will come out individually over the next several weeks.

Suns with most to prove this season will define rest of decade

It's somewhat impossible to quantify, since the expectations for Devin Booker are vastly different from those of Mark Williams, for example.

Looking at the starting five alone, and where they are in their own careers, also weighs heavily on how much they have to prove and to whom. Booker will retire as a franchise legend no matter what, while Brooks is already beloved in Phoenix but has a ton still left to prove to the rest of the league.

Then there is Jalen Green, who may be looking to prove to another organization that trading for the former second overall pick would be best for all involved. As for Miles Bridges, we'll let you make up your own mind on that one.

You can check back here as every individual on the list is revealed, as we continue building towards the 2026-27 season.

Jordan Goodwin does not feature after stellar season with the Suns

One player you are not going to see featured here is point guard Jordan Goodwin, who is effectively playing with house money in a way no other player is right now. Given away by the Suns once before, they brought him back this offseason to be their defensive-minded guard off the bench.

Goodwin doesn't have any pressure on him to push for a starting berth, while Collin Gillespie was the floor general brought back for more money and for whom there are greater expectations. His spot is safer than that of Jamaree Bouyea, while Pat Spencer, on a two-way contract, is behind Goodwin in the pecking order as well.

If anything, having a clearly defined role off the bench and being able to guard bigger opponents could see Goodwin shock everybody by landing a starting spot by season's end. Luke Kennard may have been the free-agent signing that impressed the most, but Goodwin is the guy who helps head coach Jordan Ott unlock all manner of lineups.

The dog days of the offseason are almost behind us, so get excited about what is to come by seeing who has the most to prove in 2026-27.
