It might come as a surprise, given the rocky nature of the Phoenix Suns since their appearance in the 2021 NBA Finals, but they have the third most wins so far this decade. Their 325 wins trail only the Denver Nuggets (358) and Boston Celtics (391), although that is of no consolation to their fanbase as they still wait for their first-ever championship.
The Suns are the only team out of the top six in wins who have failed to get over the hump and actually lift the Larry O'Brien trophy. Sure, they can talk themselves into the Celtics and Nuggets being so far ahead of them because of their consistently deep playoff runs.

It is actually much worse to think that the Oklahoma City Thunder, all the way down there in sixth, were only relevant in the NBA Bubble back in 2020 because of one Chris Paul. The "Point Guard" who helped Phoenix make the finals a year later, and who they never should have given up for this guy.
Not only did they take a subsequent dip after letting Paul go, but they came all the way back to win a championship, make the Western Conference Finals last season, and have an MVP in the form of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander before the Suns could even get out of the second round again.
We don't need to tell you, but the Suns are going to tumble down this list as the rest of the decade unfolds.
They are unfortunately due for some regression this coming season. A core of Devin Booker, the newly extended Dillon Brooks, and Miles Bridges isn't striking fear into opponents in the postseason. So not only is the smart money on the Suns not winning a championship the rest of this decade, but that they're also going to get overtaken by the Thunder and New York Knicks in the wins category.
Milwaukee Bucks sitting only six wins below them stings the most
The Bucks will be joining them in exiting this group, but their appearance is the most painful of all. They've won only six fewer games than Phoenix, and four of them came in the 2021 NBA Finals against the Suns. They were down 0-2 in that series, but you already knew that.
To have won less and still produced a championship will continue to hurt until they can be the last team standing themselves. We would not like to guess when that will actually happen...
