The Phoenix Suns may have struggled with injuries to some key players in the early goings of the season, but there has been one real positive to come out of this situation. Although head coach Jordan Ott would love to have both Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks out there each night, their absence has paved the way for a Grayson Allen resurgence.
The 30-year-old has started every game so far, is putting up a career high 16.4 points each night and is rediscovering his lethal touch from deep as he has connected on 38.9 percent of his absurd nine attempts (also a career high) each night. Defensively he has been better than expected as well, playing his part as the Suns have steadily improved on that end.
Suns can now trade Allen to ensure better times lie ahead.
Which is why there has never been a better time to trade away the swingman, given his value hasn't been this high since his first season in The Valley. Back then he stepped in for Bradley Beal and led the league in 3-point shooting percentage, whereas now he's playing a more balanced game and legitimately helping Devin Booker with some secondary playmaking as well.
I, again, have enjoyed the Grayson Allen drives early on

Allen also has two years remaining on his current deal after this season is finished, although that final year is a player option. That is still enough security for another franchise to think about trading for him, and at this point securing a first round pick in return - or a younger player who has so far failed to hit the heights - should be expected.
It is almost ironic that Allen is now the kind of player the Golden State Warriors surely would have loved on their roster. If the rumors are to be believed, Allen headlined a package for Jonathan Kuminga in the offseason - and although he is also currently having his best run of form in the league - Allen's play now at least makes it a more realistic conversation to have.
Even if the Kuminga boat has sailed - and it most likely has - there are plenty of teams out there who could talk themselves into Allen if their season doesn't go the way they expect it to. The new CBA and being above both aprons also means there are less big name free agents each summer, whereas Allen represents a chance to get better immediately and at a fair price.
The Suns will have a tough decision to make in the coming months on Allen, as he is playing the best basketball of his career since landing in Phoenix. Looking at the roster long-term though, and moving him now when his value has never been higher in order to speed up the rebuild around Booker sounds like the smart move to make, especially with Green returning soon. A great problem to have.
